TRESemmé Fresh Start Dry Shampoo

October 25, 2010

Has anyone tried the TRESemmé Fresh Start Dry Shampoo?

I am curious because I loathe blow drying and styling my hair every day. I have semi-fine, naturally curly hair that I straighten daily. Well, almost daily. When I’m running late or am feeling particularly lazy, I run some moose through my hair, blow dry for 2 minutes with a diffuser, and out the door I go. When I do straighten my hair, I don’t wash it the next day, and if I’m careful I can go a third day without washing it either. By the third day it’s usually a little oily underneath so I just do that baby powder trick that Cosmopolitan told me about in high school. That works and all, but I think a dry shampoo would work better with controlling the oiliness along with providing a fresh scent. Not to mention it seems like the more “adult” thing to do. 🙂

So tell me, have you tried this or do you prefer a different brand?  I want to know what your secret is between washes!

For years I’ve used Oscar Blandi’s dry shampoo. Last week I bought his dry shampoo in aerosol form and it’s a bit different {feels wet during application, but maybe it’s just cold??} but works just the same. Smells good too!

I’ve been wondering the same thing! My hair is too fine – I HAVE to wash and blow dry everyday, so it would be awesome if I could skip a day every once in awhile!

Ok, I have this exact product and I like it ok. I mean it makes my hair look cleaner but I still end up pulling my hair up when I use this. I also feel like it takes 2 good wash & rinse cycles in the shower to get my hair feeling clean again.

It’s cheaper than other brands and I like that I can get it from Target. Overall it works for me and I like it but it has it’s down sides.

I haven’t tried this, but my stylist recommended that I use a dry shampoo because I was washing my hair too often. She said I shouldn’t wash it more than every 3 days, but with working out that can be really hard. I’ve been rinsing more and using shampoo a bit less. My hair does feel a lot healthier. I also cut it ALL off so that probably helped 😉

I will find out the one she recommended next time I go in.

I have to wash my hair EVERY DAY! I have tried Treseeme’s dry shampoo and sadly all it did was make my hair more oily my hair does better even if i just pin it back and go. Hopefully you will have better results!
